Solar Panel prices are constantly dropping. The technology is changing, the methods are changing, and there are more companies making them. All of these things bring the prices down. However, in the economy like this one it can still be difficult to come up with the initial investment to have solar panels installed on your home.

Researchers at MIT started experimenting with putting solar panels in unconventional shapes and found that they could produce up to 20 times as much energy in the same space using this new configuration.
